If you love dogs as much as I love dogs, then perhaps you will understand why I think it is that dogs are sent her to teach us to 'live in the moment'. They are so forgiving; of us and each other. They don't worry about what might happen tomorrow or regret something that they did or didn't do yesterday. Dogs are our teachers. Because of my intense love and admiration of dogs, and my need to fill my life with art & creativity, I have paired the two together as a dog portrait artist.
I came to painting dogs quite by accident, but once that first dog painting was complete, I was hooked. I finally felt that I had found the subject matter that would allow my painting and art to really flourish. I now do dog portraits and pet portraits full time from my home studio. As a dog portrait artist, my goal is capture the spirit and essense of your dog in a work of art that you will be proud to show off in your home. I don't just want your painting to be a painting of your dog, but to be a piece of art that stands alone as something that people will enjoy contemplating.
